From Udondee. The body of a 5 year old boy who had been stabbed 11 times in the head, chest and arms. The police have detained a friend of his aged 10 , suspected of the murder. The incident is reported as having started when the two children, playing with a group of others, spotted a 10 bht coin on the road. The five year old wanted to buy some biscuits and share them with his friends, but the older boy insisted it was his and wanted to keep it. The other friends all cycled off leaving the 5 and 10 year old arguing. From this stage the police report the younger boy was taken away by the elder one and was viciously attacked with a knife, being stabbed a total of eleven times.
Further inquiries are being made but owing to the tender age of the accused reporting restrictions have been imposed.
