90 day visa requirements

PostAuthor: Bernie » October 1, 2007, 1:14 pm

Hi everyone i,m new to the forum and need a little clarification on the 90 day visa procedure :? . I have a multiple entry non immigrant "O" visa and my 90 days expires on Oct. 8. What i want to know is do i have to leave Thailand and re-enter, i.e. go to Laos and return or just go to immigration at Nong Khai without having to exit Thai?. Whichever i have to do , what documents are required and what's the procedure?. Sorry its a bit long winded guys!. Any information / help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Bernie, welcome to the Forum.

You will need to fully exit and re-enter Thailand. Thus, after exiting Thailand you will need to enter Laos (obtain a Lao visa on arrival $35) and then exit Laos and return to Thailand. You could combine this with a couple of days stay in Laos if you wish.

No documents required other than your passport, and a photo for your Lao Visa on arrival (plus a pen would be useful). :D

Bernie, I forgot to say take US$ dollars, as it's more if you have to pay in baht, (as well as a photo).

Yes, it's worth it just for the Beer Laos!!
