Report on Udon Today:
A 24 year old Udon girl met and married a 58year English man who took her to England. Now just 6 months later the girl is wanting a divorce as he is too old for her and she has met a younger, 42 year guy over there that wants to marry her. An oft reported story but heres the twist. The older guy has a daughter that has demanded reimbursement for the expenses he incurred in the marriage and travel arrangements and a further sum of 10,000pound compensation, plus a legal disclaimer of any further charges against him for maintenance, property rights etc. On the grounds that she is his sole legal heir .
Wonder if the new 'younger ' boyfriend will be stupid enough to pay up?Or is it time to get those running shoes out ?

As a general point, it might be a good idea to make a contract that if a marriage fails within an agreed period of time, say 2 years, that the bride must return the sin sodt!!

Though I doubt the "bride" would agree to sign it.

Can the 58 year old english man claim some reimbursements for expenses because of emotional, psychological and perhaps even physical damage he has because of what he went through and because of the emotional pain due to the painful separation????

I can assure you that the sin sod has been spent within two days of the marriage - never to be seen again.

Maybe the old man still "loves" the girl. I suspect however its more likely the daughter can see her inheritance dissappearing , possibly title to the house she lives in as well.
