Is it possible to get a printer that will print good photos and act as a scanner and fax?

Yes, I know HP has an all in one machine. It's a printer, scanner, copier and fax machine. Most of the computer shops have them or you can check computer stores in Robinson. I think Lexmark has one also.

A point to consider is, if one malfunctions you lose the ability to do any of the other operations whilst it is being repaired. :(

Ray as Cliff says all the printer manufacturers do one now and prices even in the UK are cheap - you can get a new HP for about 5,500 baht from Comet in the UK. However if you want to produce photographs then you need a really good quality paper to get the best out of the printer & photo quality paper can be expensive....

Canon do an all in one - it was 4800 baht last year so I assume will be considerably less now.

You have just posted this at the wrong time - coz tesco were having a clearout and many of their items in the sale were 50% off - including all in one printers :(

As luck would have it, a friends moving and neededto print something from my computer. It's a lexmark 1100, so I tried printing photos on it, not bad but I see the need for better paper. He paid 3600 baht for it scans faxes and prints.

GHe ays that one prbleem that he runs inot is when he faxes it only will fax one page per transmission. Is that common or is something wrong :?

Yep, I agree with John, sounds like it's a problem, unless of course the faxing ability of the machine runs direct from the scanner as opposed to having a direct fax paper feed.

If it runs from the scanner then it may well only do one page at a time, well on older machines anyway.
