Aardvark what I did is buy the electrical material my self had the electrician do it my way with grounded plugs 3 wire and ground rods outside the house two of them as well as switches outside the toilet room for the H/W heater and I also bought a good electrical panel box with trip switches in case of short so
no one get electrocuted I am sure I could have done more for safety but it much better than just letting them do it there way they seem to think there way is good enough I am with you when it come to electrical work but I must admit my knowledge is limited

Aznyron, Having read your post I have been wondering where you bought your fuseboard and how many trips it had.

i would get one that has 12, i think. one i added in addition or original (4), had that many, i think. put each ac on one, water pump, hot water heater. i used one for outside lights, so i could easiler turn on all at once, i case of noise. this was an add-on, or would of wired differently from beginning. remotes and motion detectors, i have had no luck with. you get the idea, anything that uses any amount, put on its own breaker. the original house was on 3, the whole house, one they didn't even use. that was with 3 ac's in the beginning. basically ever outlet and light was on one. just lovely. so i added extras, plus a safety stop, w/electrician #2. got zapped, so safety stop was useless. had another guy come, everything ok. turned off main breaker to boards, no electric in house. and the stereo never sounded so good, kept playing, without electric, it's a miracle. 4th electrician got it right, almost. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Yeah, i intend to get a 12 way or similar and also place an elcb between the meter and fuseboard or if they do an RCD fuseboard even better.
Judging by other posts and this i would be wiser doing it myself if i am allowed to that is. I am qualified so i will have to find out.

No worries Ron, I just have to find out if I can do it myself and get a pass certificate, if such a thing is needed.
I'm gonna give global a look when i get there in Dec as I've got cctv and a passive alarm to set up so i will need some kit.

See ya then. :D
