I was in udon about 10 days and i had noticed a few lad that i knew would be trouble.One night i went to happy bar dao soi sampantham to play pool as i was friendly with owner and staff, one of the likely lad's was sitting outside,during the course of the game i noticed a bit of pushing and shoving then the owner closed the door anyway as i expected when he got the chance in he came went toe to toe with me and said "where's the toilet mate"considering he had been drinking in the bar for at least 10 day's ther was only one thing on his mind.Steve Guifoyle is his name and he comes from south london,i later found out the night before him and another scumbag hammered a german in the old mr tongs and 4-5 of them were hanging around getting pissed and thought they were sopranos.
He started it and i finished it.

However, I will repeat what I and others have already stated, what a load of alarmist crap is being spouted.

I guarantee. if you were to compare the violence in Udon, with any other city in the western hemisphere,you would find that the problems here minute.

If the so called lager louts are spoiling for a fight, why the hell would they come to Udon, they surely would head for Pattaya or places with similar reputations.

All this talk of some sort of action should be taken, will only highlight a non existent problem, I don't hear people up in arms over the injuries that are caused by the motor cycle cowboys, who cause many times the injuries to falangs than the " lager louts" Just ask Pops, Ron and dave!!!!!

Lighten up, don't let isolated incidences spoil your enjoyment!!!!

There maybe isolated incidences,Udon is normally safe to stay.But It is not just Lagar louts to be wary of.There are robberies in the increase too.
If some one pulles a knife on you. At say- ATM....says "Money or your life" What you gonna do?reach your pocket for your wallet,? NO.....ZAP :yikes:

So this is old news? I'm going to come down on the side of Ralph Cusens here and say all these reports of tasty Farangs coming up to beat on old chaps is alarmist nonsense. I'm appalled that poor old Kevro was punched last week but I don't believe there's an increase in incidents, there's probably been a certain level of drunken Farang fisticuffs around for a while now.
