Watching Youtube, it was interesting to note from the photos he seemed to get out and about, and dine out, quite a bit, often with his wife and her friends in what looked like Pattaya.

He didn't say what sin sod he paid. He simply seemed to be saying he got through about 2 mil baht in 1 year, which included regular/frequent donations to the family.

 He probably included all his personal expenses from the time he started talking to her on the internet.I'm sure he doesn't assume any liabilities :roll:2 Mil baht is probably the costs of living in falangland for 1 year.So ,if he never met her and never came here, what would his expenses have been?Fairly close or at least a majority portion! His resentment, bruised ego and anger at himself, are probably his biggest costs :!:

Ok it happened. I feel sorry for the guy but folks act like it only happens here in Thailand. This happens all over the world. It happens in the States, Europe, Australia, etc. IMHO folks that write things like this had no business marrying outside their race as when things go wrong they want to blame the Thai people when they can find a gold digger in any country. After the Berlin wall came down the Russians were headlines doing the marrying and stripping the spouse or just to get a pass out of Russia. China has been doing this for years. Where are most of these folks heads.

It was touched on in another thread but why do most of these guys get a younger lady. I don't want to go out every night but they do. When you were their age you did to. Why not find a lady closer to ones age. It was like a friend described to me, there are stages in life. If you are in one stage and spose in another it sometimes makes it hard to communicate. By the way if you are in a successful marriage with a big age difference that is great. There are sucesses everywhere. But the truth is there are more seperations worldwide when the age difference is greater that 15 years. As you add years of age difference the odds get worse.

Getting back to the topic, marrying outside your race can be a strain on your marriage as the odds of seperation are greater for a different race marriage than one of ones own race. Why multiply that with the age difference.

Have at.

  Truth is that ladies of my race that are close to my age,are not attractive to me!And the younger gals of my race, are not interested in me!
The most attractive thing about Thailand relationships,is that the ladies are appealing and they are not put off by the age difference!A nice man, mature enough to not have to ''butterfly'' and financially secure enough to provide them with Security,is their first choice :!:

Doesn't is say as much about a fool and his money as it does about an Isan Princess? Apply a bit of critical thining and ask yourself in the harsh light of day why the girl really likes you? And this applies especially if you are 30 years older than her - smoke - drink - pay the bills - and hop of to Pattaya every few months for a sabatical.

I did not say they had to be of your race. I only quoted statictics (heck I spell like Ray :D ).

Another myth is this butterfly thing. Ever been with a divorced lady anywhere in the world. The first thing they tell you is all the men are evil because they run around. I know a lot of Thai families that are one man married to one women. Can not be sure if they ran around or not but for the most part I think they do not. But let me in a room with divorced women and ask if there men ran around and IMHO it will be very close to 100%

Most women I know want financial security. Haven't seen to many women fall for the bum in the ally because he is good looking. Don't know of many men that do not try to qualify as the bread winner either. Saw a movie called Mr. Mom a few years back. It touched on this about a woman that wanted to be the bread winner. Didn't work out to good. Will it work? I am sure but I personally have not seen where a man and a woman are in a relationship that the woman wanted the man to sit on his duff and do nothing. That would be interesting.

I also want to say this is not intended to offend. I know of a few May December couples that are doing great. One of them the woman is the much older. That is an interesting concept. IMHO for the age difference there has to be a lot of LOVE. and I do not mean love = money. The same with a mixed race marriage as each party has to look at the other as a human only and not as a different race. Everyone should be proud of their heritage and live to it but in the house we have to be one. I do not beleive you can have a Thai household and a Falang household in one. You have to compromise and make it one. If kids are involves you really need to make the one household work.

Remember this is an opinion.

I don't know if it is a myth or not that90% of the prostitutes in Thailand do not service the foreigners! If it is true, there is a lot of ''butterflying'' by Thai men.I have noticed that the major breadwinners in Isaan are women!
