I wonder what the laws are here in Thailand?
Does the insurance of the Thai Bank will cover this???
Imagine if this happens to me, will the Thai Bank that issued me the ATM card pay me back if I can proof that it was theft?....

I hope we will get some follow up on this story.
Could be interesting to know for all of us over here....

Have a look at this blokes trials after being skimmed in Bangkok last December. Account gutted. Took 4 months of wrangling to get his money ban (KBank) initial offer was 50% which he rightly refused. The bank must protect customers funds from fraudulent activity, and the customer is not liable in these types of cases. Of course, it does leave the door open for scammers (here Mate! scan my card and we'll pretend like), but they tend to get caught through greed.

Gotta watch out for both types of thieves, the fraudsters and the banks.... :shock:

Atm hackers tend to improve on their methods and strategies day by day. This is one of the best examples I have heard of
