What i found interesting, for once scamming for money did not seem to be the motive. Just some insecurities and ambiguous attitudes about the relationship. I can relate to the bit about not holding hands in public and not allowed to be seen with you (worried about their reputation? Your not good enough for them? but sex OK in private) as have experienced this. If this ambiguity goes on beyond a few weeks/months you know there is a problem which is going to cause a train wreck pretty soon; If they cannot commit, neither can you. End of story.

Have i got a diamond? Don't Know, but so far it scratches window panes.

... To keep me focused in Aussie, I used to have this saying, and it goes like this “I am enthralled by women but it is commonly known they are fonts of duplicity, avarice, lust and vain glory my mind knows these things but my heart tells me different”.

Another woman hater writes. I have no sympathy for Mickey, the socially inadequate. Som nam nah you plonker!

i guess most visitors to LOS just dont have the time to find a diamond gal, it takes time and effort to eliminate all the baduns .its a fulltime job for years .most visitors only have time to investigate sex workers .
my pal Dave who has lived in BKK for over 20years and it took him 12 years to find a gal that he deemed trustworhty enough to marry .

I reckon there's a newer expat crowd that are not the usual demographic of the sexpat/oil field trash/armed forces who come here year after year and although they learn a lot about Thai culture and language, only have relationships with women from the sex industry. This newer bunch have done all their research online via google, wiki and the numerous Thailand, Bangkok and Pattaya blogs and forums and their females have been mostly met via internet dating sites. So you have these generally older, probably better off, possibly more educated chaps coming here and finding their chosen life partner aint all she's cracked up to be in the honesty and morality stakes despite being a teacher and a mother.

Anyone that posts long-winded and unwanted 'advice' tales on websites that alternately have sexpats with work permits trading stories of their great cocksmanship with gogo girls are only blowing their own socially inadequate trumpets. Admittedly, there are some (shorter) stories that are entertaining with the author showing some compassion and less 'moral majority' but they are few and far between.

I guess finding 'the One' in a bar in Patpong is just as precarious as finding her working in the mall or the bank.

indeed especially if she has thai man in the background pulling her strings .
teacher i know has several times been asked to translate scamming letters by mothers of her pupils she teaches as the scamming mothers have gambling debts etc and a source of funds is needed pronto .
now she refuses to translate them any more even if they pay her but on a recent occasion she didnt get paid for her time and now wont get involved any longer .

But as someone who is interested in meeting a Thai lady without making too many mistakes and bringing disrepute to fahlangs in general, I thank you! Geoff =D>
Fill your boots with this little lot jepp....no doubt a few good ones in there. :D

Yes, I've also read the book "Money Number One" which I recommend. sometimes I get mentally exhausted from it all but have you seen  the big mammas in my 56 year old age group in Australia - not to mention Their attitude, of "I don't clean house", "I don't cook", and "I don't do sex". With the right preparation I am willing to take the gamble (gambol).
BTW my handle 'jepp' is the way the Thai ladies say Geoff, and the handle Geoff was taken!
yes them aussie big mamas must be shocking to even consider having a relationship with , Dame Edna would be more appealing eh ? &
agreed if you are really cunning and can outwit a cunning thai gal over the long period its far more appealing than an aussie big mama ..just make sure you dont live in the same town as the family do ,make it as far away as possible so they cant come knocking for sums of money to cope with the never ending financial crises

When I was younger, it was always a challenge to stay one step ahead of the charming little minxes and try and catch them in the inevitable lie on the premise that you have to get out of bed real early to put one over on me.

Now that I have white hairs on my balls, I just can't be arsed and kill them when they piss me off. (Did i just say that out loud?)
