aussie world cup

PostAuthor: vlad » November 23, 2008, 5:15 am

So how did it happen ???? the mighty Green & gold machine humbled and smashed by the men from across tha Tasmin sea.
Ive never seen so many moaning sad aussies as I did today when Australia were smashed in Brisbane today by New Zealand. Serves them right for dishing out the rude & offensive rubbish trundled out in the aussie press about us Poms. i for 1 will be doing my own hakka tonight. And wallowing in the defeat of the gloating aussies.

I am not really a League fan but started to watch the game.
At the start I thought the Aussies were in for an easy win and stopped watching just before half time as I thought it was only going one way. I was more than a little surprised when I read NZ won this morning. From the reports I read the second half was a cracking game with a fair bit of controversy thrown in as well - certainly said to be the game that the tournament needed.

On the Union front I see SA trounced England 6-42. England well & truly put in their place by Aussies & SA. The "new dawn" of manager Johnson seems to have been derailed. The 6 nations should be interesting again this year...

Yeah, didn't catch that one either Bob. On the Rugby Union front - maybe we should have given old Brian A the chance to develop an England team further than where he got to. I put the results on the Rugby Union post today. Either way, not good times for both England teams.

Vlad

As an Ozzie, i accept the defeat without any issues, yes, wished we had won for sure.

Go back and look at the press when England won the World Cup in Oz 4 .5 years ago.

Same sort of press , different team

Now Now Hage's dont be name calling if you cant take a result when it goes against you. Or are you an aussie who does'nt like losing ???. We Might and we are s//t are rugby but who is the formula 1 champion and where is Ricky Fatton from and who took more golds in Beiging than the aussies facts speak for themselves Hage's. We can take defeat on the rugby field gracefully wer'e used to it but im afraid people like you cannot.

Vlad,
I congratulate the Kiwi's, they played a great game.
I wasn't posting about the game as I follow AFL not Rugby.
I was posting about you being a classic sore loser who can't handle Australia winning anything so when we lose a game you slag off the country in general.
What a TOSSER.

Have another read of your own post and think about it on reflection :-k As for winning more medals at the Olympics consider a population of 65 million compared to 21 million and the numbers dont look that great do they. The Kiwi's took the cup from Australia, congratulations to them, its the first time in the history of the game that anyone has, and it may well be the last :D

Vlad, yes, a little over the top. I watched the game and the Kiwi's played well. They won the match. I don't think for one moment that the Aussies were "smashed". That is stretching it a bit. As for more medals in the olympics, you are an Englishman right? "Great Britain" won more medals than Australia. That's 4 countries under 1 banner.

But the main point is that the Kiwi's played well and deserved their win. =D> :drunk:

Excuse my level of understanding in Rugby tactics (both games), chaps. But seriously speaking, what has NZ got that the others haven't when it comes to winning this game? Scotland has a population of 5 million and England 49 million while NZ is 4 million but the Kiwis consistently produce good teams. It's got to be the culture and exposure to playing Rugby from an early age. Or is it the desire to win at all costs?

Rugby is their no 1 sport full stop, more than a religion to them, thus the quality of players.

To assist you Westers pls read the following

Rugby is a game where to advance forward u throw the ball backwards. U can use brutal force to stop ur opponent, The white lines on the pitch are actually used within the rules, not just for falling over and receiving Oscars. There is no magical wet towel, sponge that makes people get up after a free kick or yellow card is issued.

If a player falls to the ground and doesnt get up and looks in a sh*t load of pain , then its a fair chance it HURT ! Unless ur are dying after that tackle the game might stop, its play on otherwise.

No spectator violence between the supporters, doesnt need Police operational control rooms to guide the respective supporters to and from the game.

Hope this assists........ :guiness:

Aah yes, that clears alot of confusion up for me, Wazza. I intend using the above precis while watching the England - New Zealand on Saturday. That's if they don't put the Wales - Australia match on instead.
