Good news about the corn tortillas. I'll stock up on them. Flour tortillas are not that difficult to make at home; really just flour, salt, water, shortening, and a little baking powder if you like. Corn tortillas on the other hand require masa harina and regular corn meal or corn flour simply does not work well. I've yet to find masa harina anywhere in Thailand.

Corn tortillas cut into wedges and deep fried make great salsa dipping chips.

Thanks for the tip Papaguido!

I forgot to mention the brand is El Charro. I bought two packs and went through one already. Chicken tacos with pico de gallo salsa for dinner, all that was missing was the refried beans and spanish rice =P~

Picked up a half dozen packages of the El Charro corn tortillas at Makro this morning. Only about a half dozen packages left in the frozen food case. Perhaps they have more to restock with, but it looks as if they are disappearing quickly.

Also picked up a couple of packages of roti that were next to the tortillas. Tried the roti for lunch and it turned out quite good. If you don't have nan, the roti makes a very good accompaniment to Indian style food. Sops up curry real well.

Thanks for the heads up. There were actually 8 packs left at about 1800 when I went to restock, only four packs left :D

Dont like em! Give me a packet of Salt ' Vinagar crisps anyday! All very fattening anyway.I heard one pack of crisps or similar snack, has as much calories as a normal everyday meal. ...." weight watcher morti" :D

They've got'em, forget the name brand (Thai) but they have a whole line of chips/crisp. But the S&V are kind of weak, I can barely taste the vinegar.

I think our Wazza means the Villa Supermarket in the Ploenchit Centre (Chitlom) Sukhumvit Road.
I don't miss Walkers crisps in Thailand as you have the superior Lay's American brand available everywhere.
