well I've used AVG a long time ago, and I liked it of course. However I've just got my pc reformatted, and the guy gave me nodd32 instead of AVG! never see any viruses from it after scan!I start to wonder whether my pc(public pc which I call it) doesnt have any virus OR the Nodd32 is not better enuff!
has anyoned used both of them and be able to tell which is better?

My girlfriend's new PC came with Nod32 installed... I wasn't impressed.
I use AVG 8, and Solo Sentry together... I prefer AVG, it doesn't soak up resources and has never let me down over the past 5 years.
I uninstalled Nod32 from her comp. and replaced it with AVG.

B_g I would leave NOD on your computer. If you look at many of the test results and reviews for anti-virus programs, NOD usually scores very well, and AVG often doesn't.

I have the Bit Defender suite on my PC, and Avast free on my lappy. I did extensive research before installing both (some time ago), and again yesterday after reading some good reviews and test results for Avira.

Bit Defender will be replaced sometime later this year, but I am more than happy with Avast.

If you have a router with a firewall, use that. If not, I believe the Windows firewall is quite sufficient, assuming you have a good AV program.
