agree trubrit, i have my regular spots, then sample some every now and then, been 50/50 with new spots, and a couple that i thought were ok, aren't as consistant as they should be. it really doesn't seem that hard to be consistant, i was in customer service a couple times, and it just isn't taught or practiced here, quite the exception. so sadly, even expected regular service is extremely welcomed and appreciated.
have been to carabao, once, enjoyed it, mainly because of the company i was with. the lasagna looked tasty, though i prefer a bit more sauce on mine, didn't sample, as they were out. went with the salmon raviollis, nice flavor, though a small serving size. not the best value, even though a little work to prepare, the lasagna seemed a decent serving size, and had ricotto cheese, so expensive to prepare, a bit better value, but i think i would still be munching when back home, as i did when i got back home, as the raviollis just wasn't enough, even though tasty and nice rich sauce, the bit that was there. i like lots of sauce on my pasta, that is the flavor part, as not many people eat pasta by it's self. at least some butter and garlic to flavor it in a pinch. i think that's why i do most of my italian at home, and it is an expensive meal, even at home, as the quality ingredients are on the high end. so if they can keep a 'filling' meal between 150-200 baht, they are doing good, though i've yet to find one, that i can't do at home a bit better, and value. for those who don't cook italian at home, this and other venues may appeal to them. i try to stick to ordering food i can't or won't make at home, and at my consistantly good venues. this is not a negative review of carabao, just an observation on one visit, and the staff was very courtious and prompt with all things.
happy munching all
