Can anyone 'throw any light' on these rumours:-

1) The first of the Day and Night bars has already opened.

2) Niki at the Full Moon is selling up (B1.3m) and going to England.

Any info confirming or denying welcome, as they are just hearsay.

Yes, I can confirm, that the Fifty Fifty bar opened up yesterday!

I believe number 2 is also true too.

It will be a shame if Niki goes, as she is the life and soul of the full moon, and will be a very hard act to follow. I for one wish her well in whatever she does next, and thank her for her past hospitality

Nobi's for lunch today, no rumour, tasty as always. on topic, strolled over to DN, and coming from myself, a naysayer, it looks rather nice. coming along and should meet schedule within week or so. 50/50 a 2 stall bar, thankfully on the end, as i never got the pretentious 'handsome man, welcome, come drink', which surely explains their steadier than the rest patronage of customers when at soi pattaya. most are 2 stalls, a few 1 stalls, and one 3 stall. plenty of room inbetween the rows, and 2 stalls look roomier than what they occupied in past life.

I had heard a rumour that they were putting a wheel chair ramp/push chair ramp in, glad to see that they acted on it.

That's a wheelbarrow ramp Bob ........ when the building work is completed they will smash it up, and replace it with steps !! (this is Amazing Thailand after all)

actually 2, one on other side of steps out of view. would of took more pics, but just the phone on hand. they are doing a fairly nice job, and should be decent enviroment, all things considered. hope pricing is reasonable and gals not too intrusive and they may have a chance. parking obviously will be the big issue, as with all of udon, but here, it's rough now getting down the street.

i'll even be joining the ranks of a motorbike owner soon. convenience and cost is just to tempting. something i didn't think i would buy again. parking is really getting bad everywhere. though i think bike just for quick runs, lunch and daytime use. as i rarely go out once back at house with kid.

best of luck to them, there will always be a market, that looks like the best alternative to not at all.

typing same time, i hope they stay, if not for wheelchair, they are a bit steep, be good for delivery of goods.

Did they really think of wheelchair access...... , more like as already said a ramp for wheeled in goods,like boxes of beer,bags of ice, heavy and awkward stuff, still it would double up as wheel/c access.
