Well the one on the second floor of the Chaeronsri Mall used to be excellent but they have put the price up three times in as many months, 180 then 220 last month, this 250, on top of that the young man stylist who used to do mine has now left and this time it was cut by the boss, not a total disaster but not to my liking.I'm looking to.

From the PrincePrajak Monument go up Sirsuk Road turn left intoAmphoe Road its on the right , with a barber pole out side map ref 10-11 / H

Next time Iam there I get the name and a photo of the place

I once called into a barbers on the other side of the road to the Bus Station.

An old gent cut my hair. Used scissors only. Took his time, then washed and dried hair.

Did a good job and only wanted 50Baht. Bit embarrassed, so gave him 100.

Good barber shop about a city block from Charoensri Grand Hotel on southwest corner (past Yuana Knife shop) of Tikattanon Road and Wattana Nuwong Road. Owner did a nice, quick job on my full mop for 60 baht.

Owner's wife runs a laundry next door and very reasonable, especially when compared to CGH laundry service. Friendly young owners.

hmmm.Rather draconian moderating and i cannot see anything in the forum rules that says you cannot mention Paul's bald head.Does that mean posts i might write about being over weight will be deleted by any obese moderators? :?

Not wishing to enter any further debate on the rights and wrongs of moderators I would say that if a posting is deleted because of sensitivity by anyone a further posting on the same subject becomes a provocation and is therefore against forum rules. and should be deleted. :!:

Wickder, to re-iterate what Valentine has just said, I think that unless you know Paul, or any other member personally, it would be inappropriate to remark on any aspect of their personal appearance. If the remark was then deleted, maybe for reasons of sensitivity, it would also then seem inappropriate to revisit the subject or to labour the point.

Aussie Boy, please confirm you meant blow dry, not blow job, or I won't be able to get in for the rush.

Sorry members Blow Dry, well worth the time they take to do the full service of hair cut, and the massage of arms and shoulders, and with a half bald head it still takes a good 10 minutes to clip my hair with a number 1, I think the barber knows it when I am there and I drop off to sleep, but I love my once a week clip, relaxing to hear the murmer of the Thais chatting in the background

Thanks for cleaning, erm clearing, that one up, AB. I also was wondering about the extra services being offered.

Personally, I hate sitting in barber (or dentist) chairs so do not seek an interminable experience there but an ephemeral one. The less time spent under the control of the guy with the scissors and razor, the better. I can do the shampoo and hair dryer thing at home, thank you anyway. Have to admit that 150 baht for all of those services does sound like quite a bargain, however.

This was a bit of a surprie seems like everyones hair is so short these days never dawned on me they were gettting it styled.

Nice lady here in the village cuts mmine I'm her big paying customer 50 Bajht, the first one she gave me it going to be 20 Baht even Cheap Charlie me couldn't do that.

Unless things have changed there is a barber shop just down from the Karen Hotel with nothing but gorgeous ladies cutting hair in short skirts. I think they cut hair to

My theory is when it is between getting the dog license or the haircut I go for a haircut.

I had a stylist in he states pretty much a standard cut but the neck massage he and his wife did after the haircut let him charge about 20% more and he had so many customers you had to get an appointment.

Haven't found a place like that yet, but I get the impression there are some here.

I get what little I have left of my hair cut in one of the small local hair shops in the Moo Bahn where I live. They all charge me 40 baht, which suits me fine, though I usually give them 50 baht.

I let the wife do the massage bit afterwards!
