Bedsheets

PostAuthor: lassebasse » March 3, 2009, 1:18 pm

I am looking for simple rectangular white bedsheets but have not found any so far. Down in Robinson they have these fancy sets that all look imported and have prices double to Europe. In Lotus they also have these funny sets with pillowcases but where do you find just normal white bedsheets like the ones every hotel has. Any suggestions?

I have not seen any either, especially cotton sheets, brought a couple of sets back from USA in 91!

If you have someone going and coming back, you might ask them or you could order through JC Penny online, and hope they make it through the delivery system.I ordered underwear that never made it!

Have you tried Bo-Bay Market?
Mrs Prenders said she has seen plain white sheets for sale in Tesco's.

Lasse
I have looked for years to find decent bedclothing. I finally gave up and brought some with me from IKEA so now I have even got continental quilt sheets (påslakan).

Try Makro. You didn't say what size you were looking for but they do carry up to king-size bedsheets.

Currently Index Living Mall has a bed linen sale and their brochure shows some.

Right, found bedsheets in Macro, but only for single bed, it will have to do for the moment. Somehow I do not think that Thai has a word for bedsheet, when my lady asked in Makro they said they did not have any and then we found them 3 meters away!

If you have a sewing machine why not just buy the cotton cloth and make them yourself, just a thought :D

I've bought king size white flat sheets from Makro. The were the Makro house brand so I would think that if they don't have them now they're just out of stock and should be there in a couple of weeks or so.

On the bed sheet subject, I don't care about color etc, but am curious as to why I only see one bed sheet (fitted) for sale, usually with a matching comforter (I guess that would be the name, like a blanket). There are supposed to be 2 sheets, at least in my life we had 2 sheets. Wife says only 1 sheet, I say need 2.

Hi,Sgt. this is the Thai way, and also in a lot of other countries, one sheet over the mattress and a type of duvet on top, tog rating depending on time of year. Why o why do you need two. I don't like using A/C so lie on top of the bed, with fan on, wife uses "duvet" to curl under. But i suppose everyone is different. Home Pro had plain sheets in there stores a couple of months ago, but have not been there for a while so don't know if there still there.Cheers Doug.
