Australia 14-19 New Zealand

New Zealand recovered from a rusty first-half display to maintain their superiority over Australia in their Bledisloe Cup Test in Hong Kong.
The All Blacks, who win the 2008 Bledisloe Cup series 3-1, were 14-9 behind at the interval.

Four or five points difference in the last couple of games. It looks like the All Blacks just have the edge but I reckon they can still be beaten by the Wallabies. I'm looking forward to the next Tri Nations.

Edit: What does worry me is that the Wallabies didn't pick up anything in the second half!

Exactly, BM. But don't laugh at the Aussies too hard 'cos they're playing England at Twickers on the 15th.

Did anyone notice the referee's name...... Irish Allen.

No offense to IA but I thought the ref had a poor game. Almost blew the pea out of his whistle. Far too many penalties. A flowing game with few penalties is a much better game to watch.

You have to give the Kiwi's credit though. They are a tough team to beat.

This Wallabies side still hasn't been sorted out yet. Too many changes of players etc, but wont be long till they settle down. The Kiwi's have all played together for a while now and understand each others strengths and weaknesses, also the Kiwi's don't allow themselves to get rattled, they just hold their ground and wait for the other side to tire and make mistakes and then they launch their counter offensive which generally wins them games. The Aussies should learn from this !! On another note I watched the England V Australia Rugby League World cup match the other night, and for those who missed it England played a very tough and aggressive first half before being soundly beaten. They are a much stronger side this year than in the past and had some Aussie commentators singing their praises. It looks like a couple of them are being head hunted to play down under next year which is really good news for the game !
