PostAuthor: Nutty » October 7, 2009, 6:10 pm

Hi everyone, im new on here, i wonder if anyone can give me some advice.
I need to buy some electrical goods for my house, ie TV, fridge , washing machine ect.
Im not sure whether to go to tesco in nong kai, or if it would be better for me to travel to home pro in udon.
What you think peeps ?

Hi Nutty,

for ease of purchase I would stick to buying locally from Tesco Lotus, or some of the other shops around town i.e. Samsung etc.

If you were to have any problems with anything you bought, it is much easier just to run it back into town as opposed to back into Udon, presuming that you are nearer Nong Khai that is.

Having said that, there is a much larger choice of electrical goods for sale in Udon, so if you have transport readily available then it may well be worth making the journey there to make your choice.

Welcome to the forum by the way :)

Hi sean,

I have transport , but like you i thought if anything goes wrong its a lot close to exchange.
Thx for the advice, and the welcome :D

Nutty,

As you are coming into Nong Khai on the Phon Pi Sai highway there is an electrical shop with a Phillips sign on it on the left hand side of the road. They have most anything you would want electrical. Not too much english spoken but the owner does speak english if needed. They also will send techs out to the house for repairs if needed, but not so sure about out of town. Have used them many times for both inside and outside problems with no complaints.

Is that the big one on the left along the by pass, past the Grand Hotel (coming from Phon Pisai direction)? If so, that's closed down. Whenever I looked there previously they never had any stock, just boxes and empty shelves, and she wanted you to pick what you wanted from brochures or order it after having seen or researched it elsewhere.
