Just as a "by the way"... video editing uses a great deal of resources, Pinnacle recommend 512MB RAM or more, along with a 1.5GHz processor or better.

Well recommended Stevo, brilliant piece of kit that's got me out of trouble more than a few times.

Easy as pie to connect up and get going, and like you mentioned, it eats the pc's resources like there's no tomorrow, so if you have many programs running in the background (like me) then close them if you dont need them.

Paul,

I use Adobe Premiere Elements software, firewire and an external 80 gig hard drive to store and run the program. Anyway, here's link a link to give you some ideas:

I also have Video capture software (Ulead Video Studio 5.0) that came with my firewire. I haven't used it and don't have much info on, but your welcome to it and I do have a link for it:
