Well, yes, from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island, the air is much colder than other parts of the world despite the best efforts of conservationsists to persuade us that global warming is giving us warmer temperatures than is the norm.

Here in Toronto we have already had three snowfalls and a couple of days of -10 degree temperatures.

Thanksgiving is over and done with and our football championship, the Grey Cup, was played on the weekend whilst our neighbours to the south still have all of this to look forward to in the coming hours and months.

Consequently, it is entirely possible that the scent of those lovely ladies in Thailand, in particular in Isaan, is having its desired effect on our ability to think clearly.
Now if only the Canadian dollar would rise to over 30 baht it would be worth spending/sending/wasting money in Thailand.

All these storys are just a warning to 'other wet behind the ears' newbies to the 'Thailand scene'...some may take heed and therefore get one step ahead of the game, i am sure these storys have saved quite a few already..
still not sure about 'Marvin' though...or the hitman bit, maybe spices things up a bit.

Interesting subject though, story true or not....

One thing about this forum is indeed good, if one read through
the advice in regards to subject in question a person can learn
a lot.

Disregarding those that only want to use :fryingpan:

I my self have got many very good advice from this forum that
no doubt saved me many, many problems in the near future....

And that besides from many other questions I have asked here.

Nice to have members that try to advice new people that intend
to relocate to Udon/Thailand.
As I see it, it´s good for the Farang commutity on the whole.

Lastly:

Do not drink to much folk´s, not good for you I heard somebody say !
It can go as it did for my father, heavy drinker, he took leave at 85 ,
and he was not even Irish !? ( No insult to the Irish - OK )

Have a nice one !

Bo.

Husband Warns Public About HIV Wife

TORONTO - A Toronto man, who was infected with the HIV virus by his stripper ex-wife, is pleading for other men who may have had sex with her to get tested for the disease.
"I know there were other men she slept with," Percy Whiteman claimed on Monday of his ex, Suwalee Iamkhong, who's fighting deportation from Canada. "I am lucky that I was able to find out early."
Iamkhong, 39, arrived in Canada from Thailand in 1995 and danced at Toronto's Zanzibar Tavern for most of her career, which lasted until 2004.
While Whiteman alleges his former wife had sex with other men, no evidence has yet been presented publicly.
She was sentenced in August 2007 to three years in jail after being convicted of criminal negligence causing bodily harm for infecting Whiteman with HIV. Whiteman, who married Iamkhong in 1997, told court that he didn't know she had AIDS until the woman fell ill in 2004.
The Canadian government wants to deport Iamkhong, who is being detained in an immigration holding facility. A final deportation date has not been set.
Whiteman sponsored Iamkhong and according to immigration laws, is financially responsible for her until 2011.
"I don't think justice was fully served," he said. "She should have been deported a long time ago for what she's done to others."

Whiteman has since founded Positive Survivors Living with HIV AIDS to help men in similar situations.

'Life at stake'

"She lied and she put some-one's life at stake," he said. "I've gotten a life sentence and I know there are others out there."

Iamkhong told an immigration hearing she did not believe she had HIV despite a positive test.

She claimed to be involved with the Thai AIDS community and contended she will not be able to afford medication if deported.

Deportation action against Iamkhong began last year when it was discovered that she was not a Canadian citizen and had a criminal record. A last-ditch appeal to the Federal Court to quash the deportation was tossed out this month because of the conviction.

"Persons in Canada who are not citizens may be removed from Canada if they have been convicted of serious criminality," Justice Russel Zinn said.
