Technical Questions & Discussions about Computers, IT & electronics.

I have recently picked up something I can't fathom. My Home Page Tab keeps reverting to an address "about:Peoples Republic of Thailand (PRT)".
Ive tried changing it back to Yahoo but continues to return to the above address.
Nothing weird on the computer apart from strange icons apperaring whenever I use exterior drives.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Well this ain't a republic so it looks like you've been hacked and infected. Are you using anti-virus software/spyware? Go to:
http://filehippo.com/ and from the anti-spware category download Ad-Aware (I believe most popular). I also recommend CCleaner to clean out the junk on your system... If you do not have up to date anti-virus software then AVG free is a good choice to give you some protection.

I've had a similar problem with homepage changing and after running ad-aware it cleared up.
