Car, Truck, Motorbike rental / hire Nong Khai

Getting around Nong Khai is pretty easy and not expensive, you have the option to use saamlaws (three wheeled taxis), or Tuk Tuks.
Motorized saamlaws cost between 25bt and 100bt depending on how far you're travelling, pedal power saamlaws cost less, remember to agree on a price before embarking on your journey.
Most tourists prefer to travel by foot or on a bicycle. Renting a bicycle for a day costs around 50 baht. There are also motorbikes available for 200 or so baht a day. You can usually negotiate prices if you’re going to be renting the vehicle for more than a day. There are a number of places to rent from, so just keep an eye out for one on your travels.

Aside from bicycles and motorbikes, your only other option for traveling around Nong Khai is the tuk-tuk which costs only 30-50 baht per head for a trip to anywhere in the city centre. A tuk-tuk ride to the Friendship Bridge will cost a minimum of 100 baht if there’s only one passenger. Most tuk-tuk drivers will try to overcharge tourists, but it’s easy to bargain as long as you’re polite, patient and you have a nice smile. So remember that the only way to get around after dark is by saamlaw.

If you prefer doing the driving yourself you can hire a car from one of the many rental companies around Nong Khai with or without drivers. Costs for car rental vary between 1,000 and 1,500bt, more if you have a driver. Most car rental companies in Nong Khai offer motorbike rental too.
