The rumour seems to be that Hiddink will do the job until the end of the season - as well as holding onto the Russia job - he will then revert back to that full time then. Unless he wins the double - then he might be seen in a different light!! :D
Ancellottis' contract is up in the summer.
So I guess no chance for any Hiddink transfers in or out. (Except maybe loans???)

Im not saying the youth set up at Chealsea is bad what i said was they DONT have the youth's comeing through now. When most of the teams in the premier league seem to have 1 or 2 in there 1st team.
Abramovitch answears seems to be he can buy a good team and put that team on the park well the answear is there for you all to see. All the monet in the world cannot buy you sucsess look at Villa no superstars in there team yet there higher than the Chealsea rumour also has it that the ruskie was in the changing room last week picking the team. If big Phill cant put a winning team that bonds together Galee who can or who is bigger than scolari a work cup winning coach.

Yes,Hiddink is just taking over till the end of the season as a favour to his friend Abramovich.
Carlo Ancellotti from AC Milan the favourite to take over......blimey,AC Milan didnt even qualify for the Champions League this season.I think under his tenure they won the Champions League once beating Liverpool and lost once in the final where Liverpool, again, amazingly recovered from three goals down.
I dont think they have ever won Serie A under him but the more knowledgeable than myself might correct me on this.
I cant see Ancellotti succeeding where Big Phil failed. As Gene Hackman might say to Abramovich "Your either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid !" :D
One thing for sure, though.Mourinho timed his departure from Chelsea at exactly the right time. They were already showing signs of decline.Grant steadied the ship by playing boring dross football which sent the fans into a coma and enabled either Drogba or Lampard to nick a 1-0 win whilst the opposing defence nodded off !
Chelsea are in need of a major overhaul on the playing front. How many of the current squad are up to it ?.....Cech,Terry,Lampard and, when fit,Essien and Joe Cole. The rest are either past their sell by date or just not good enough.
You think how much Chelsea have spent on players compared to Villa,Arsenal and Everton.True they have young players coming through in two or three years but will a guy like Abramovich give them time ?
A top coach like Hiddink might get them qualified for the Champions League again next season but for this squad,a year older, the future doesnt look good,I'm afraid.

Zidane, have a look at man u results since the 30th Nov. 10 matches won 1-0 in two and half months.

You've really surprised me with you anti-Chelsea rants.

In fairness to Zidane I don't think it was especially anti-Chelsea Galee.
I think he was pointing out the style of play of Chelsea under Grant & I think was fair comment. Also the reason Grant went - might have been successful, but not the sort of football the fans & board wanted to see.
Your criticism of United is also fair.
If they win the title this season it will completely be down to the defence. Earlier in the season they played well until they scored a goal & then seemed to lose the plot completely & were well beaten a couple of times. I think this has resulted in a very defence orientated outlook & a reliance of scoring on the break.

Dont take it personally Galee, old son.Cant you see I'm concerned for the well being of your club in the Premiership and Champions League :^o
But,in all honesty, poor(forgetting his financial payoff) Scolari wasnt given much of a chance was he ?
Anyway heres something to make you smile.....remember the "Ronaldo leaves United" and the "Mike Ashley sells Newcastle" videos on youtube ?
Inevitably heres the Scolari one......enjoy :D

PS: I agree with your and Bobs comments about United. This season has hardly been vintage United with their fluid passing game and I think it says something about the Premiership when they are top and really only turned it on in about 3 games !
I said earlier in the season that they miss the influence of Carlos Queiroz and still stand by that.
My view is that the top of the Premiership hasnt been all that great this season up to now.We need a strong Chelsea,Liverpool,Villa,Arsenal and Everton pushing United hard.

i said weeks ago chelsea have gone.maybe they have hiddinck now and things will improve for a bit but they really are a team of has beens.only so much a coach can do.scolari never given a fair chance.
unless they spend big money in pre season like man city i can see chelsea been mid table mediocre next season.
i said months ago its between us and the mancs for the title.forget about the rest.sorry if i offend anyone.
video very good.poor gareth southgate whats he ever done,ha ha !

Hiddink is, imo, the best manager in the world. Shame Luton didn't bag him. :(

You wont get any argument from me that Chelsea have been under achieving recently and have not been entertaining to watch. Remember last season I said I was bored watching them play.
Yes, we need to get rid of some of the "dead-wood". If that means a few seasons of mediocrity then so be it. At least that way they would get the club on a sound financial footing, bring in a few youngsters and hopefully have some stability with the manager.
But this is Chelsea were talking about. Common sense and logic go out of the window.

Couple of interesting links for you Galee.
First, unlikely that Hiddink will stay on after end of season - wants to "end" the Russia job

Second, Scolari 'lifts lid on time at Chelsea" - well hardly, but he does have a couple of interesting things to say..
