tops market, on top floor of robinson store, all the way in the back. usually same price or bit more than others. veggies/fruits, much more. but meats are bit more, but better inventory control, so fresh, not restickered and placed back out on shelf after expiration date as some do. fresher from the butcher departmant than on shelf. for that reason, i only buy meats at tops.

Experience tends to make me agree with Bob, I'm afraid. My old mother used to make delicious cakes, both.sponge and fruit. Fresh bread daily, batter puds, only the toffs called them Yorkshires,scones, pancakes and a host of other goodies, all from the same flour. Bought from a sack, sometimes complete with mouse droppings. Then a company called Mc Dougalls introduced plain flour, red packs, and self raising, blue. She scorned both as they were more expensive and continued baking on her coal fired stove the cakes you can only dream of. What she would say about the range of ready packs available now I will never know.I doubt very much if these specialty flours would taste half as good.Oh pure nostalgia
Back to the subject . All you need to make good bread and cakes is a basic flour, a good cook and of course a good oven.That rules me out on all three.

I spoke with Jon last night , over a quite beer, or 5 at a local liquor refreshment agency.

Seems the opening will be a week away, a few minor hicups, the back up generator had to come from BKK and a few trades people took a 2 week extended Sonkran holiday.
