As I will be back in Udon in about four weeks I was wondering if are there any recommendations for places with particularly comfortable or supportive seats or conversely places to avoid because their seating makes you feel ten years older when you try to stand up again (even if you haven't been drinking the local lemonade).

I have also been in all sorts of agonies as a passenger in a variety of vehicles in Udon - any recommendations on pickups, cars, SUV's with good supportive seats?

Venue recommendations should, ideally, include other attractive furnishings

Most places I know of have the very basic of seating - but it isn't always what you sit on, but how you sit on it (ie posture) - my doctor in the UK always told me off for slouching when I sit.

in the UK I drove an Audi sport which had bucket seats and meant that you sit 'in' them rather than 'on' them (to keep you in one place when driving like a lunatic). Because of this long journeys were a nighmare as the seat position was not really designed for comfort but secure yourself when cornering tightly - I always had back ache after long trips.

here I have an Isuzu pick-up and have had no problems whatsoever - I drove to Chonburi earlier this year - A nine hour trip and felt absolutely fine at the end of it. No need for a back cushion or anything

SNAP, thats a posture I find very hard to change.

Jimbo,drove to Ayuthaya in my pick-up and the six hour journey was no problem at all.I have huge problems in any of the mini buses.Awful seats.
