Nothing would improve the area more than to make the old "Falang Alley" area a multi-story parking garage. :-k

Bring the old falang alley back. Now that had class. Haven't seen anything like that since the 60's and 70's in Viet Nam. Actually liked the place. Could sit at one of the bars and in the corse of the day would see just about everyone you knew.

think that gets everyone's vote. if they do a complete make over, sure a parking garage is in the grand scheme of things. Central is too savvy to not provide some parking.

any in put from you patter fans, been to the central there, parking?????

been to bkk's, but via public trans, never checked on parking, maybe this week on the way back. :-k

Central Lad Prao , Central Chid Lom, and Central World, all have good parking in BKK.

Looking at the size of Central KK, it may have parking for 000's , If u think the parking / traffic at Carrefore Udon is poorly done, wait till Cantral KK opens, on the corner of A2 highway and the major road into the city !!! Trafiic jams 100%

Central, Phuket has generous basement parking, rather than multi-storey. My recollection is that access from/to the outside roads was not brilliant, it was gloomy and ventilation poor (not that you'd be having a party down there!)

If following the Phuket idea, Central would certainly be upmarket on anything Udon has currently. Some quality shops and restaurants, something equating to Robinson's, a fair size household store etc., but prices generally up too, as you might expect in tourist destination. Excellent multiplex cinema - and bowling? Does the new construction mean the Udon complex's cinema and bowling goes? Indeed, are the plans that the whole existing complex is replaced/revamped?

Sold or not. Nobody knows for sure.Probably.Eventually will be.If a large complex building is sited there, people realise the parking problem will be astronomical :yikes:
The exsisting site is at the moment use as a parking site. It,at times is almost full.Thats even when the car park under the exsisting robinson complex is full.
My guess is maybe, when site constructed, will include car parking within the complex. If not, Cant see many customers visiting there.
