A catch all title for what you may want to do...:D

For the more technologically advanced.

How do you... Merge one photo into another? Like Don's mother and daughter below. Sorry  I don't mean that literally I mean the photos on his post.

Hi Alan there are many programs you can use ,but I like to use Microsoft Excel , Macromedia Fireworks 8, and ACDC pro it just takes a bit of time , practice and a lot of fu##ing and blinding, but with these there isn't much you can't do, with the photo below it combines four different photos
Image hope this helps you

What donthani said.

... time , practice and a lot of fu##ing and blinding ...

I use a combination of programs as well. At present, there is no easy one-step program to do fine resolution combinations or blends of photos.

..... Hi Beer Monkey I use Macromedia Fireworks 8 (magic wand) to cut the back grounds out from the photos then combine them all in Office Excel and print them off ,then finish them in ACDC pro which has a good cloning program in photo repair , I've looked through lots and lot's of programs and find these three best for my very limited old brain, the old version of photo shop was easy , if you can get hold of it , but limited , if I could find one easy solution I would use it , but I am still looking , theirs a lot of free stuff on http://www.download.com/ you could find useful , maybe theirs enough us interested in computers to meet up ( in a bar )sometime and share our little knowledge , if I can help please don't hesitate to ask , cheers Donthani

ok, pumping this one back up, actually didn't know where to post and not important enough for new thread/bandwidth.

anyway, as mentioned earlier, seems i am having problems signing in/posting, and pretty much given up, tho when possible will post. but unless i can resolve, anyone needing to contact me who doesn't have phone number, i'm usually on yahoo or msn messenger, use my id here, my name: laphanphon and the rest and get me at either, even tho i may be invisible, send offline, especially yahoo, i will get and respond. LA signing off, until comp cooperates more consistantly.

i've tried everything, anti virus/cookies/system restore and it just doent' want to play nice. only site that i am having problems with. see you at monthly therapy sessions, or weekly if in the area. though sure i'll be reading and posting when comp let's me. like now

LA I had a similar problem last year when I just could not sign in for something like two months.
Tried everything, even masking my IP address!
Spoke to Lee a couple of times and we just could not figure it out.
The only difference to your problem was that I could never log in, then as if by magic when I had given up all hope it just seemed to cure itself
I wish I could tell you I did something really clever to cure it but the truth is I did absolutely nothing.
Fingers crossed you get the same bit of luck.

Donthani, you wrote "Office Excel" twice, but do you really mean PowerPoint or some other program?

Excel has got to be one of the most difficult tools to use for the manipulation ofimages, beyond simple things like color correction (and there are much easier ways to do that!)

There is only a couple of useable programs I can recommend and I am using both myself
The no.1 is definetly Photoshop, it is a monster, but when you know it, u will love it
2. choise is Paindshop Pro. Has same feature as Photo Shop but is much smaller and is also easy to use.
MS-excel and Power Point is both crap and is not useable for picture manipulation

I think you did mean donthani and not udonthani , to answer your question, yes I did say Microsoft office excel and I find the program very easy to use for photo manipulation .and to quote what udonthani posted MS-excel and Power Point is both crap and is not usable for picture manipulation unquote, all the photos posted on this topic are manipulated using Microsoft office excel and I think with quite satisfactory results,

I know it sounds too simple to be a cure but I MUST log in on the home page. Example, I read a post and click Quote or post reply but I cannot log in. So I revert to http://www.udonmap.com and my username and pass are in the boxes and I can log in no problem.

Have you tried different browsers/versions?

i used to get that...so annoying as you log on and it logs you out straight away and all the unread posts get unflagged.. :irked: :irked:

But things are smooooth as silk at the moment.

Going to get photoshop and give that a whirl.

Guess Who..??
