Drove past there this week, definitely up for sale. Notice on gate saying for sale or lease.

That's a shame, I really liked going there. I wonder what went wrong, it's in a great location and IMO was a great looking place.

Incidentally I noticed the Saloon Pub opposite the City Lodge closed its doors a while back, obviously they didn't get enough passing trade too.

Oh well, when one place closes another place is sure open, I guess it just makes the place a little more interesting.

I'm always happy to see places close down that are called stupid names like 'Days Nice'. I suppose 'Good Everything' will be next.

Last I heard was that Days Nice is at the center of a divorce between two Thais...

 I only went to the Days Nice once and that was for my first forumite monthly meeting.I thought it had some good points, but It looked like they might have been to ambitious, trying to be all things to all people. The dancing girls really started to early, before the dinner crowd was finished.Probably trying to capture the dinner customers.A mistake in my opinion,as the venue is not for family dining, nor do I think most significant others would like the Men participating in the girlee venue.Just to much in your face! I liked the size of the place and the open air space also!
Maybe they will find another falang that needs to make is big money smaller

its the thai translation problem, like " Bar beer", as we know it should be beer bar and "Nice days" or "everything Good", but its not.Image

still they got " The Clock Irish". right.

I went to Days nice many times when in Udon this October. I enjoyed it very much but knew it could not last with high overhead and no customers. Too bad. The name cracked me up.

another falang that needs to make his big money smaller

Ne'er a truer word! :) :!:

This should be another good example to farangs with big business ideas in LOS to take care and be cautious.

I believe it was previously run by Thais and was reasonably popular, but fell by the wayside. Next thing along comes a farang with big money and big ideas, ploughs loads of money into it (it did really look good and he added to the entertainment), but even fewer customers this time, and sure enough, another falls by the wayside/bites the dust. :(

I suppose the local customer base went with the Thai owners, and never returned.

Any new entertainment venue has a tremendous novelty value amongst the class concious Thais. This normally takes about 3-4 months to wear off. Look around you will see many examples, busy , packed houses then dwindling away to nothing. Unless a farang who thinks he can do better comes along, then its renegade on the inevitable bank loan, start a new company, then do it all again.

I liked it OK but it wasn't anything special. Lots of similar places with lower prices and better atmosphere. Those wood bench seats were hard as rock to boot.

Kitaro Japanese Restaurant are taking over this place and they plan to be open very soon.

Kitaro Japanese is one of our first sponsors, the owner is a great chap and very friendly. I really hope it works out for him.
