Dental Implants Palo

I was there today so thought I would ask from 35K to 50K depending on the proceedure needed.

I have to tell you I was impressed with what I saw there, very modern in equipement staff very friend a drop dead gorgess dentist, who listens to what you say. Might just be worht a bit extra a I recall cleaning was 500 Baht.

My visti was for the pahntom toote aches but the circumstances were not indicating just a toothe ache, so complicated. So I had an examination by a doctor who ordered a Chest Xray, along with the exam, spoke good english. I was referred to a ENT.

Just to make sure I had a dental exam as to the effected teeth, including an Xray.

Two examinations, two Xrays and meds out the door for 1314. They also provide me with an english speaking escort for the entire visit. So no complaints from me.

For what I got I thought a very fair price.

Wasn't really surprised by the ENT visit, something is wrong but it will be complicated to find what the specific problem is, but I didn't get take two aspirins and call me in the morning. $100 please.

They did a great work-up on me a few weeks ago. I bought the bottom end physical package with the basic lab work and ultrasound for, if I remember properly, at bit over 7K Baht. Easily that would be the deductable in the US for work costing several thousand dollars.
Very impressed with Paolo. I go there weekly for accupuncture and it has worked better than the basket load of meds Rxd by the VA. The VA, of course, will not pay for accupuncture under the Foreign Medical Program as it is considered voodoo by them. When I explained to them that the Air Force has an accupuncturist in the AF clinic at the Pentagon, the reation was cold.
Paolo is a world class place and I would not hesitate to have most procedures done there. Better in some cases than going in to Bumrungrad in BKK as they are overrun with "medical tourists" and the quality control can be an issue.
Ray, thanks for the cleaning info. I have been looking for a place for my 6 month check-up.

Well here is even better news they sent me to ENT specialist who found nothing wrong. There was no additional charge, You could have picked me up off the floor the man spent 30 mins with me. I have never had that happen before anywhere.

I wonder why Paulo is 7000 baht for physical and AEK is 3200 baht for VIP physical which includes upper ultrasound, chest x-ray, urine analysis, electrocardiogram, cholesterol, triglyceride, fasting blood workup, liver function, kidney function, blood sugar, complete blood count, uric acid and physical exam?

What else did you get? :?

I think you are going to find that Palo is more expensive then AEK, I just happen to like them better.

All that was covered besides the PSA, Rheumatoid factor, cardiac enzymes and lower GI ultrasound, which would not account for the price difference. I have had such good luck with the folks there and thier accupunture, that I just gravitate there now. The service is excellent and Tossaporn, their foreign rep, is an easy guy to work with.
7690 baht was the full price. That was their bottom package. There are three larger. I will take a second glance at my chart to see if I missed reporting any other tests that they did but that is what I remember now.
The lab panel is more than what we would normally order on a physical in the US, very complete, more like an ER work-up on a disease of unknown origin.

AEK also has a "Male Executive" check up at 11,999 THB and a number of different check ups at different costs.

There is a drop down menu for "Check Up" at AEK on this link http://www.aekudon.com/aekudonEn/main.php and they also have booklets at their international office describing them.

Perhaps someone with plenty of time and some medical expertise could contrast and compare what is available at Paolo & AEK.

I've recently had a second "Male Executive" check up, first was two years ago. In the most recent one they have found something internally that has developed over the last two years that will require further investigation and analysis.

IMHO, these check ups are well worth the money, which is low compared to the west; what price do you put on your health?
