PostAuthor: JustanPearson » November 18, 2008, 2:02 pm

Ok then..... its been away but hello again

I'm in Phuket tthailand with my Double entry visa

which i got back in July it say's that it is good until January 23rd

I will do my first visa run November 28th to activate the second entry

ok now the Question....

When It runs out in January I would have been here for a total of 5 months as I did not arrive here until the end of August...

How many back to back Visa run stamps can i get..

I want to stay until April 25th and have return ticket for then...

So febuary will be six months will i be able to get back to back Stamps after my double entry visa runs out ??

Thnks

Presumably Justan when you go to trigger the second part of the tourist visa it will expire on the original expiry date 23 january. Most visas start date is the issuing date not if you come a month after it was issued.
Best of luck.

Pompui was trying to help and he offered you his best wishes in trying to resolve your issue but you come back with a clever remark. He's also assisted in keeping your post at the top of the page, so why the sarcasm?

Ok sorry folks

Still confused :fryingpan:

lets say my visa runs out january 23rd 2009

and lets say I have been here 5 months
can I still get one more 30 day visa onarrival to make up my six months

and after 6 months can i get any more days or months in thailand

I try and make it to April.... but that would mean I have been here 8 months

I started with a double entry visa which runs out January and like i said would be 5 months

any help or links to some solid information would be great

thanks alot

Seeing that you are in Phuket at the moment, presumably someone or a visa consultant in Phuket can help.tel or email or just pop in.
Try this link www.yellow.co.th/YellowPages/Phuket/vis ... _map.1.htm

Hi Justan,
The Thai. Gov. said on 28 Nov 2008 that anyone visiting  adjoining countries ie. Loa, Cambodia etc. will only get a 15 day stamp in there passport when they return to LOS. Those traveling from Europe, USA, etc. will still get the 30 days stamp. Wither this is in force yet i do not know. The best advise as another poster has said is to see a visa specialist.
Myself i would just go to the Thai embassy in Loa and get a single entry "O" visa valid for ninety days at a cost  of about 25GBP.I still don't understand what you mean when you say it runs out on 23Jan. On a double entry visa which expires on the 23 Jan. you can leave LOS and come back on the 22 Jan and get a further 90 days, if this is your second entry, that is if it is a 90 day visa, or 60 days if it is a 60 day visa, you do not state which. I had a multi entry "O" visa and i used to do a border run a day before it expired an got a further 90 days. The "O" type visa can only be got outside of Thailand they do not issue them in LOS.
Cheers Doug.

There are 3 different way to visit LOS for 5 months in wintertime as a tourist:

a) get a years visa with multiple entries, not the cheepist one, but you save one border run.

b) when you get a visa with 2 times for 2 months, just tell emigration when you first come to LOS that they will not use the visa, take the 30 days on arival (tell them something), so you can have the 5 months with two visa-runs.

c)make your visa run after 2 months and stay a few days more in Laos (or whereever), than you have to go to emigration and paying 1900B to extent the visa for 30 days. Show your return ticket. The 7 days exemption is only for visa on arrival cases.

The best way is the year visa with mutiple entries, may be it costs in the begining, but you dont have to ask somebody---please do this or that.
