Drive motorbike over the friendshipbridge

PostAuthor: Krukan » January 17, 2008, 8:11 pm

I just wondering if there is possible to take the motorbike to Vientiane. Do I have to pay any rare fee at the border for that ?

Anyone knows anything about that ?

Yes yuo can get a permit to do that if the bike is in your name and properly registred.

Bu it's not as simple a just paying a fee.

I would eb guessing at the moment if I tried to tell you what is involved you can find the info on gtriders.com posted by riders who have in fact done it before

If you want to ride in Laos they rent bikes in Vientene usually 250 CC dirt bikes.

Unless yuo plan on staying on the highway to Vietnam your probably are going to need a dirt bike.

If your just looking for an easy way to do a visa run, this isn't it.

Where did you go Paul?

By the way I'm not challenging anything your saying really more curious where I might be able to get to with my bike. 400 Dragstar and the frame is very low.

Mods this OK or do we need to start a new thread?
