Sorry for the late delay in replying guys

an ECG / EKK is an electrical trace of the heart , it only identifies electrical activity, ( u can have a perfect ECG and still be in cardiac arrest )

It can not assist in any anatomical issues, ( apart from not having a heart ) or having dextracardia, ( heart lying on your right side predominately, or Siamese twins etc.. It could assist slightly if you have a L Ventricular anuerysm, but if they are doing an ECG and not moving u ASAP to a Cardiac Theatre, then good luck.

A Cardiac stress test, only confirms that the artery/s have some form of obstruction that leads to clinical symptoms of Angina ( chest pain due to exercise / activity )

Once the stress test is stopped, symptoms resolve , especially if given some nitrates, GTN etc. This confirms the need for an angiogram,

A cardiac angiogram is the correct way to diagnose partially blocked or severly obstructed cardiac arteries.

DONT have a stress test if the Clinic doesnt have a defib on standby , right next to you.

Been to too many cardiac arrests over the years in Clinics, stress test being conducted and no defib available to resus the patient. Your imminent death confirms you were symptomatic !

Thanks again UdonExpat and Wazza for your excellent comments. I must say I do a fair amount of excercise round the house and grounds, most of it heavy work cutting and hauling trees, moving bags of animal feed around and more recently helping bag and stack 50 kilo bags of new rice, and do not get any chest pains, so there's a good sign, I do get out of breath after a while but I guess that could just be the good old asthma that I've suffered with for many a year or I'm just an unfit git........ probably the latter......... Will post what I find out at the doc on Thursday but I'm more optimistic now since reading your comments. Thanks again.

Got my results yesterday and all seems OK, no need for any extreme tests on the ol' ticker........phew.........had me a little worried there for a few days.......
Doc did say he thinks my arteries may be a little blocked but as mentioned above a high proportion of people have this due to their diet, must admit I've had my fair share of take outs, junk food and had a very poor diet for many years.
He wants me to go back for another ECG in 3 months to see if all is still OK and to go back within this time if I start getting any chest pain especially when excercising or doing heavy work..
Thanks all for the comments, they really did help to ease my worries while waiting fro results......
There we have the power of a good chat forum......Thanks again.....

Might be time to start taking a spoonful of Cod Liver Oil a day like when you were a kid, tastes like sh!t for sure but helps the arteries no end. Also consider Vineger, supposed to clean the Arteries on the inside, just a thought :D

It probably wont help the arteries too much now as they are all ready diseased and symptomatic as such.

What were ur Cholesterol levels ( no need to post them ) just a reminder to cross check these as the new "statin " styled drugs can drop those levels quite well over a few months......

Vinegar will clean out the arteries. Lowers cholesterol and cures a multitude of ills inside and out. 1 tablespoon in 8oz glass of water am and 1 in pm. Raw vinegar, though. The distilled stuff won't any good. The distillation cooks all the enzymes out of it.

Cholesterl levels are normal but I've been taking medication for high cholesterol for the last 4 years. Always normal when I get a check up since I started taking them.
