Sorry for the late delay in replying guys
an ECG / EKK is an electrical trace of the heart , it only identifies electrical activity, ( u can have a perfect ECG and still be in cardiac arrest )
It can not assist in any anatomical issues, ( apart from not having a heart ) or having dextracardia, ( heart lying on your right side predominately, or Siamese twins etc.. It could assist slightly if you have a L Ventricular anuerysm, but if they are doing an ECG and not moving u ASAP to a Cardiac Theatre, then good luck.
A Cardiac stress test, only confirms that the artery/s have some form of obstruction that leads to clinical symptoms of Angina ( chest pain due to exercise / activity )
Once the stress test is stopped, symptoms resolve , especially if given some nitrates, GTN etc. This confirms the need for an angiogram,
A cardiac angiogram is the correct way to diagnose partially blocked or severly obstructed cardiac arteries.
DONT have a stress test if the Clinic doesnt have a defib on standby , right next to you.
Been to too many cardiac arrests over the years in Clinics, stress test being conducted and no defib available to resus the patient. Your imminent death confirms you were symptomatic !
