Ex-Pat Get Togethers

OK, you have the ex-pat night market mafia that meets monthly in Udon to have a few beers and a chat. Do Nong Khai ex-pats do the same? Where do they meet on a regular basis or are they all still on nodding terms as they pass each other by in the soi? :lol:

Not yet, but slowly slowly and let's see what happens.

I'm sure, once there is enough interest in the area, there will be a regular get together every now and again.

I can remember attending one of the 1st Udon meetings, it was just 2 of us, and my father in law who knew nothing about the internet let alone udonmap.

I don't have the time to attend them anymore, but just look at how they have developed over the years, it kind of amazes me at times....

Now isn't that strange.I remember the first two meetings where poor old Paul apparently sat alone all night. I did however get to the third and some subsequent gatherings and the only guy I can remember bringing his father in law, was a certain VW enthusiast with a wife that loved dancing. :-$

Good Idea Westers, I Don't drink MUCH these days,maybe a bottle or 3,But I'd give it a go for the banter !! Maybe We can have a few giggles without offending anybody,But I suggest a MUST have is a Sense of Humour !!! I Just sent you a PM...

Why thank you my wide bodied flying friend, received your PM aswell - banter is always good for morale. Give me a shout if this gets off the ground and I'll drive over next time I'm in country (I have a Pick Up don't yer know).

That might work then because Mrs. Westerby has started banging her gums about going out in mid-November for three weeks. She'll need a driver as well, so I'll be coming along. But I'm sure you chaps can organise something in the interim or are you meeting already?

Ok, The good old ex pats in nong khai should make the arrangements for the ex-pat meeting :guiness:

- I am an imposter as my place is in Udon, however I would be more than happy to be included in the meeting :guiness:
