I was thinking of buying an external hard drive before I go back to Udon. Here a 1 TB Buffalo is €125.99 or 5,900 Baht. Anybody know what the current prices are for external hard drives, preferably 1TB.

Thank you.

IA I assume you are asking about prices in Thailand (Udon).

If so, this will give you a good idea.

Go here:

http://www.hwhinter.com/price.php

Left click on "Harddisk External", then click again on the left hand flashing box at the bottom of the page.

I just bought a 1TB External HD on the 2nd floor of the complex for 5300 baht. The brand is Philips and it's a SATA, USB2, Seagate unit. The unit needed an external case which was included in the overall price. Unit includes a fan which can be turned on/off via external switch. Seems to work very well as I'm using it for my computer back-up and also a 2nd partition for data files. =D>

Hard drives are hard drives, wether you put them inside the computer or in an external box up2u;o) My computer has 4 hard drive bays and currently 3 bays = 2.38 tb of hard drive space. I chose the Samsung 1 tb drives simply because they run cooler and use less energy. I bought one in Pattaya and one in Europe. The one I bought in Thailand was the cheaper of the two.

Yes Jack Udon prices. Last time I looked in the shop on second floor of the Compleck the biggest they had was 500GB. Thanks Paka that's what I am looking for. As per usual just that bit cheaper there too. ImageImageImage
