Ask anyone who has served in this Regiment / Para's etc what its like , get them to tell u the stories, what campaigns they were in , what was there favourite weapon, how many they slotted,

After approx 5 seconds of silence , and a total blank look of denial , your totally convinced they werent anywhere near any action , and probably the guy sitting next to them in the bar was the only enlisted soldier happy to discuss his brave actions of abseiling off chrome poles to rescue poor ladies held in slavery in Pattaya in some undercover people smuggling operation.

I once had to conduct a medical exam on an Australian working in Saudi doing some driver training education. When asked had he ever had any fractures, he stated 25 !! I proceed to ask why ? and what was his previous occupation/s. He smiled and said he worked for the goverment in Perth, Western Australia. ( Home of the Australian SAS ) he only other comment was, if this seismic base is ever attacked by Terrorists etc, to follow him and keep up.

Having read the comments, I do tend to agree that any farang dealing with a banned substance would pay considerably more than is being quoted to stay in business.
However having any rumour about any bar owned by a farang does in fact raise the question, that possibly a farang owned bar has upset some people in a way i could not even begin to understand and the rumours are being put about in order for the authorities to look carefully at these bars.
That supposition could be the way for Thais to get a foothold into the supposedly lucrative Farang Bar market.
maybe I am just bouncing ideas off your heads ,but as stated there is no smoke without fire, so someone is doing something and in the process has upset someone.

Anything is possible but I can't imagine a bar owner taking the chance of risking the rest of his life in a Thai prison. Owning a bar is somewhat of a high profile position and it is easy to make enemies in that business. If it is true, it's only a matter of time before he is caught and made to pay for his stupidity.
