The compatibility button is limited to IE8 - because only IE had it done all wrong and forced the webdesigners to include IE-specific workarounds. These now fail with IE8, as finally MS does it all correctly. Result: the new render engine in IE8 is seldomly used, as either the user sets the compatibility mode (means operate like IE7 and older), or the website itself does it (button greyed out then).

Of course Rufus will deny all these published and easily to verify information...

Thanks for the info Techland. I am about ready to give up on FF . Doesn't seem to work good on several sights I have to type info into. :-({|=

I downloaded Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 today. So far so good. No crashes, no page load failures and it seems fast... Very fast!

To anyone that has FF 3.07 get the update to 08 . 07 has a bug that is corrected in 08 :shock:
