Floods cause widespread damage

Flash flooding caused by heavy rains damaged homes and crops in many provinces around the country yesterday.

In the Den Chai district of Phrae province, a continuous downpour throughout Sunday night led to flash flooding in a forested area connecting the district with Uttaradit province. Floodwaters surged into the nearby Ban Huay Rai villages, forcing residents of more than 70 households to hurriedly pack their belongings and flee.
