Well they've just started under the safety car, because it's raining, so a heavier fuel load maybe an advantage. And the rain is apparently getting worse. :?

i hate the jermans , :D :D :D weve only just got rid of schuey , and it would appear we now have another rising superstar in vettel . from a spectators point of view not a great race , yes plenty of action , but i prefer it when i can actually see it , having said that , how they manage to get any pictures at all on our screens in those conditions is beyond me !!!! now i realise that a wet race is always a bit of a leveler , but red bull did the business in qualifying as well , so i would say a fair result . button did not do himself any harm with a solid third place either . and glee of all glee , ferrari nowhere . 3 races gone and no points at all for marrinello !!!! unless the stewards can work dubious miracles this season , which is always a possability , they will not be getting nice new shiny red cars , but a case of red bull , or a virgin record voucher instead .

Just a reminder - Bahrain F1 this afternoon.

A couple of reports on yesterday's final qualifying, to set the scene:

Lewis Hamilton is breathing down Jenson Button's neck but the Toyotas are on top
The threat of sandstorms may have receded according to local weather reports, but conditions for this afternoon's Bahrain Grand Prix are unlikely to be exactly hospitable; the Arabic island has been transformed into a blazing inferno over the past 48 hours.

Jarno Trulli will start on pole in Bahrain with Timo Glock next to him as Toyota brilliantly locked out the front row for the first time in Formula 1.

Red Bull's Chinese Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel came through in third but team-mate Mark Webber was controversially knocked out early on.

The British pair of Brawn GP's Jenson Button and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton start in fourth and fifth respectively.

Embattled Ferrari showed improvement and are eighth and 10th on the grid.

More problems looming for F1....
Ferrari have said they will not compete if the financial limits occur in 2010. Max has said if they don't like it they can leave - something even the opposing drivers seem to think is a bad idea...

On a personal note Mr. Mosley's son has been found dead in his home.

While I think it is pretty obvious I do not agree with how the controlling people inside FIA are destroying the sport, I am sincere in my condolences To Mr. Mosley on the tragic loss of his son...
