I would have said it was a very competent performance yesterday, rather than lacklustre. He had his work cut out and performed well, despite starting from 4th and having to make tyre changes at less than ideal times. He also had to get past Fitsichella early on. Heidfeld created/forced the gap that Vittel got through, a couple of laps from the end.

The championship is based on the full year's performance and Lewis justifiably deserves the crown!!

Perfect, just perfect.

The icing on the cake was seeing the Ferrari pit crew celebrating, thinking that Massa was WDC, then realising that he wasn't.

Karma. :D

What an exciting race, I do feel sorry for Massa he did everything right and has been a gentleman in F!.
Congratulations to Hamilton after comung so close last year.
What about Time Clock in 6th place if he had been a Thai I'm sure there would be allegations that he was paid to let Hamilton pass.
Anyway look forward to next season :D

Yes, I did feel a bit sorry for Massa.

I understand that Glock had not pitted to change to intermediate tyres, and was therefore having problems in the wet on his slicks.

Congrats to Lewis but what a close run thing.Changing the tyres early expecting heavy rain when it didnt
materialise until just a couple of laps left caused the problem.
I think Glock was about 15 secs ahead at the start of the last lap but his tyres just couldnt handle the slippery surface.
Had to laugh at the Ferrari team all celebrating too early......reminded me of the Bayern Munich fans in the 1999 Champions League Final when they were leading 1-0 into injury time.....but thats another sport and another story !
Lewis Hamilton deserved Champion of Formula 1 2008. :D

Honda announce that they are pulling out of F1.
They say that they are looking for a buyer, but don't hold you breath. Honda F1 employs 800 staff in UK...

I thought they "pulled out" 12 months ago :-k
Last season was just "going through the motions" and "running down contracts".

Interesting article from the BBC about a FIA and teams meeting held in Monaco on cost cutting in the sport....
