Of couse ,the truth is elusive,but Karioki jobs for the girls is a breakin job to the P4P industry.I have no doubt that many of the young girls initially are only''hostesses'' and either ''turn out'' or leave the business before becoming ''boom boom girls''!I know 3 girls that have worked in the Karioke scene.One, is was a job and eventually she became a pro!The other two initally got involved because they liked the singing part and the scene appealed to their fantasy related to becoming singers,one never turned a trick and got out after 2 months ,the other eventually turned out and became a pro.

So ,unless I was to think of all Thai girls as being susceptible to prostitution,I would have to believe that not all the girls go ''boom boom'' with the customers!

A lot of the time it depends on the Karaoke bar as some of them have rooms on the premises or next door.

There are several "different" types of Karaoke bars.
There are the ones that have a TV, tables and chairs, and only have one song being sung at a time, with people taking it in turn to sing, and the "hostesses" being there for their singing ability, and earning their "tips" purely for singing.
There are those that have a TV, chairs and sofas to relax with the hostess, and sing if you want. Most have "Private rooms" that you can retire to, and your hostess will "keep you company".
There are those that have individual Karaoke rooms, each with it's own TV, sofa, table etc, where you can close the curtains, sing in private (most are "fairly" soundproof), and phone "reception" for food and drink to be delivered, and/or a hostess to "entertain you".
And of course there are the "photo booth" type Karaokes, where you just warble away till your hearts content, and no one bothers you............ unless you're crooning Waltzing Matilda that is

There is a karaoke bar situated far end of underpark in the complex.I went couple of times with Thai friend.As you enter,Huge room.sofa's everywhere,massive TV screen.Tarts everywhere.
After a while we" booked" a room 150 baht an hour.
Very plush room.Big Karaoke machine.When you want a song, you use a telephone to the system.
He says to me," You want lady?" To be honest I was embarrased.I declined. But low and behold, 6 lovlie's breeze in.Lined up,' Which one you want?"
I wanted to crawl in a hole somewhere(not theirs) Really hot under the collar!But friend insisted"Which one?"I just wanted out.In the end, I just said "that one!" with that, the rest sauntered off.
She came and sat next to me, hand rubbing my thigh.This was "hard" for me,but enjoyable.
The thai bloke had a woman too. He was touching her up everywhere.She never flinched! He said to me "Go on You can do same! I would'nt,so he grabbed my hand put it on her boobs!These girls were stunning.

In most small towns, apart from a couple of "massage" parlours, the Karaoke Bars are the only place where the local guys can go, and also the ONLY place that the girls can work from.

seems like same rules apply to karaoke as massage place, if you can see the massage or singing being done, then that's all you get. if private room and can't be seen, anything goes for a price.

i personally couldn't be bothered with either versions of either. i prefer mere 'eye candy foreplay', any night market with a beer garden will do, then home for the real thing. a hopeless romantic, boring for most, but works for me.

Reminds me of a place in the middle of nowhere about 20km from Sirikit Dam, and 100m from the road. Small Karaoke joint with about 8 - 10 girls working. Me and three mates turn up after a round of golf, middle of the afternoon, sit down at a table next to the rageing torrent of a river, get some beers, and are joined by four "young ladies" who want to know "Where u flom" etc; A pleasent 15 or so mins spent chatting, and then we are joined by another group of "ladies". So we had eight girls (seven most of the time, as they took it in turns to use the "outdoor shower", which was a matter of feet from where we were sitting).
On asking them if they would like a drink, one of them went off, came back with a bottle of Spy and a large bottle of lemonade. Having divided the spy equally into eight glasses, each was topped up with lemonade (8 "ladydrinks" for B100, don't think you would get away with that in Udon).
A pleasent couple of hours was spent sitting with the girls, chatting, and watching the river.
None of us had any intention of doing anything else after a late night the previous day, and 18 holes that morning, but just for info, my friend (who speaks pretty good Thai) asked the boss "How much are the girls?", to which he was told ......... We never had a farang here before, how much do you pay in Uttaradjt (the nearest "Big" town), B400 .....B500?
