A question Henrie, I suppose the house you are in is rented, advice form me is the same as others, MOVE, unfortunately however good you have been and safe you feel, a Thai with vengance will do almost anything including making or paying someone to do the deed.
Staying in Ban Chiang although a nice village is not the same as say Nonghan or Kumpawapi or even Pen, it is not large there are not that many farangs and you are out on the limb.
For your safety move for your health move for your peice of mind move, if you have another mlady who cares for you and is NOT an alcoholic she will move with you.( they do that)
I hope i can persuade you that being out there , those of us who would assist in times of trouble are a long way away.

I agree with khun Paul.These people can be nasty.They wont confront you.They are biggest cowards in the world.They will sneak up behind you, or get someone else to do you harm.There are many Farang haters out there.Many are eaten up with jealousy,with our nice houses and posh cars etc.

Somehow ,I don't think NICE is the appropiate term for this country!Except by those who feel they have ''assimilated''!

Well nice is a word that can be discussed, by nice I mean it is better than pakistan, Argentina or even some other S American countries, some contries in Africa would also fall into that category of NOT NICE
One could also say that living in England is no longer pleasant due to the state of the nation.
As for being assimilated that will never happen until I visit the WAT on my last trip then I will be fully assimilated into the atmosphere and the gound.
