LA had more exposure to the critters at this house but do look more like the darker variety and do appear to be swooping down and eating mozzies and whatever else kind of bugs are around like trubrit says. Definitely not fruit bats. Beer Monkey's pictures #1 and #3 are very close except my pets are smaller. Almost a shame to kill them off but just can't have 15 of them hanging around.

On Batwatch tonight again and saw none, zilch, nada leaving the building, elvis. 8)

Ron, just leave some gaps under your roof tiles and they will find their way home.

I do like to watch them and wouldn't mind if just a few moved in but they bring their whole village with them! Considering Stan's idea of building a bat house on the wall farthest away from the house but think they've already moved into new digs at the Thai neighbors on both sides. :-$

also like the critters that seem to enjoy our yard and houses, well, no need for snakes, but if they could use a little common courtesy, and not sh*t all over the place, i wouldn't mind. 8)
