Hi,
Had a four baht braclet a few years back, took it to a jeweller back home, They checked it for free, said it was 23. something, can't remember now. The check, which they asked me if they could do, only took about a minute. They stated the gold that you buy, ie rings etc., are not 24C and only 23. something. I think 23.69 but not sure. If you go to any gold shop in Thailand they can tell you the carat of the gold they sell, I have never seen 24C, in the past ten years, for jewellery. If you are wearing the gold every day the best thing you can do is buy a 18C bracelet etc. as above that the gold is softer and will wear away. If you just want a investment get the higher carat one. I can assure you that i got a lot more for the gold back home than i paid in Thailand.
Cheers Doug.
