PostAuthor: businessman » January 14, 2006, 11:44 am

Sean is off to get his hip sorted out next week on Thursday so i would like to wish him all the best and let other forum members know that the time has arrived. He's a lovely chap.If a thread is getting a little heavy you can always count in him to pop up with a smillie or two and lighten the tone. :)

Hey thanks for the nice words guys, not looking forward to it one little bit in all honesty, but it's the light at the end of the tunnel that's keeping me on track if you get my drift.

I'll be back soon enough, probably a week or so before I'll be able to climb back onto my computer desk.

And dont forget, I ain't gone yet ;)

Ahh well, when you set the airport metal detectors off and they frisk you down to try to find that you are going to have a bit of fun

Hmm.. psychic powers on Udonmap, BKB can see into the future with an AFTER pic of his op

Any chance you can help the rest of us out with an AFTER pic of next weeks lottery numbers #-o

Anyway, good luck with the op - any chance you'll be convalescing in Udon?

John, yep, I can imagine they will be a little perplexed when I'm trying to tell them I have a metal hip socket :?

Jimbo, sorry mate, no luck with the lottery numbers :( , the after pics were supplied courtesy of my consultant at the hospital, i'll sure be happy to ask him about the lottery though to see if he can help.

As for convalescing in Udon, I had actually hoped that I would be able to get away for a bit, but I've been told that I must not travel anywhere for at least 6 weeks after the op, but I may be able to get a week or so away after that, i'll just have to wait and see how the finances are at that stage.

Cheers.

Simple solution - demand that the consultant does the operation in Udon

Wish it was that easy Jimbo, I have actually explored that option, but my works Bupa cover only covers me in the UK unfortunately, it's their call I guess, they would rather pay the ฃ13,700 bill here rather than the ฃ3,000 (in the Bamrungrad, bkk) bill in Thailand, now I know why the annual rates are so high.

Of course you relaize you need the sauna effect now? Doesn't get any better then here. I have had two friends go through the surgery now, a tough one but the long term has been very good for them. I hope yours is even better
