The gym in Nong Khai is at almost the Eastern end of Prachack rd..According to one of the gym members, there is another opening soon on Meechai rd,but not quite as far out on the Eastern side of Meechai.I have been a member of the gym for 2 yrs. They have 2 Precor crosstrainers(very good, but older models),2 Precor treadmills,1 broken and unfixed for over 1 year(superior type treadmills, but again ,older models)They have free weights and a superior(relative to Thai type products) combo weight lifting machine. They have suffient German made cycle. They have suana and steam rooms ,available only 1 hr. a day and a waste of time .They have showers and lockers, spa , massage facilities and a tennis court. When I joined, they were open 7 days, steam and suana were available all open hours,1000 to 2000(the cleaning person lets us start around 0900).Now they close on Sundays and all holidays without notice and for as many holidays days as they arbitrarily see fit.Towels, lockers, showers, toilet, suana ,steam and tennis court are included in the fees, spa and massages are extra.Fees vary,100-150 per day,500 to 1050 per month(depending on hours and length of membership). My wife and I paid 2700 each for 6 month memberships for hours 1000 to 1600,now I pay 3000 for a single 6 month membership.charley wrote:Greetings

At first, I thoughtit was a short time place but apparently not. I ended up buying a weight bench, barbell, dumbbells, plates, treadmill and other equipment and building a home gym. Sportsworld cut me a few discounts. I searched all over for a decent freeweight gym and could not find one. Oddly, Vientiane has a great gym.
