No, he isn't.

Trigger is a palimino, and the best friend of Roy Rogers.

Roy had Trigger stuffed and put in his living room...I think.

Roy, Dale Evans and Trigger sang Happy Trails together

Last I knew Trigger was on display in the Roy Rogers Museum Victorville Calif.

Roy Rogers horse was named Trigger.

Willie Nelson nicknamed his guitar Trigger, Willie explains:

Photographs taken throughout Willie Nelson's career show the gradual evolution of his famous guitar (nicknamed Trigger) from its pristine new condition to its current weathered look. Much like Willie, this famous guitar has come a long way. Trigger has been played so much, there is a rather sizable hole worn right through the top, one that Willie considers so sentimental, he won't have it repaired. In addition, Nelson estimates that he has 100 signatures on his Martin including those of Leon Russell, Roger Miller, Kris Kristofferson, Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, lawyers, football coaches, and other friends and associates. When asked why his guitar is named Trigger, Willie explains: "Roy Rodgers had a horse named Trigger. I figured: "This is my horse!"

Wonder if Willie ever did a version of "Happy Trails"?

good for willie , i like sentiment , it proves you havnt lost touch with your roots . clapton has the same sentiment to his old battered black stratocaster that his foster parents bought him for his 14 th birthday. its just one of the reasons the yardbirds broke up . he refused to smash his guitar on stage , which was quite popular at the time . =D> =D>

Yep, ol' Willie Nelson is down to earth alright. He recently made the statement that he had outlived his 'willie' .
