The bungalows look great, and a good base if you want to explore Ban Chiang and Kamchanod, without having to stay in Udon.

I have a house in the next village, Ban Yang, and I drove by the place to have a look. First of all, there is nothing going on in Ban Muang, why would anyone spend a holiday there? If they have any guests, it must be people who have a wife in the area and have problems sleeping on the floor and problems using squattoilets.
I think it's a frenchman who build the place for his wifes family, the wife also have a small supermarket in Nong Han, and she comlained about few, but none guests in the resort, and she was about to give up the super as well, Tesco Lotus is planning to open in Nong Han, which probably will kill many local businesses.
Well, Happy is clean and new, but not much to do, I forgot to ask the price.

Welcome to the forum Bugs.
You have hit the nail on the head, they are not for long term holidays. People who like their home comforts, and privacy. There is nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night, breaking your neck for a pi$$, and having to walk through the house in the dark, trying not to wake all the family sleeping on the floor, and sliding through the mud outside in the rain, to the breeze block lavvy.

The planned Tesco for Nong Han is a scaled down version, not the same size as the store in Udon, it will probably kill off most of the Mom and Pop shops, within a 20/30 minute drive radius. As far up as Bandung.
