Vlad, try running your Anti-virus and anti-spyware programmes, assuming you have them.

If you don't, try downloading some from:-

I use threatfire, from PC Tools.

http://www.threatfire.com/download/

It does take a while to do a scan, but then it is "looking" for threats all the time after that...

If you go to the bottom of the page, click on the "Get Free" button - there are 3 buttons there (Get Pro, Get it Free & Get Free), you want the one on the far right.
It should then start to download an exe (execution) file.
When this has downloaded run it & it will install FireThreat.

This is why it is so important to have a anti Virus programme.I have "Shield deluxe 2008".It found 10 Trojan virus and deleted them with out me noticing them!
Once you get a Virus,Most cases, a free Anti virus programme will want their fee before deleting it.Less serious viruses they will delete!
At about 29$ a year not too much and can save your computer from crashing! Its a must!

Agree 100% about your comment about some Anti Virus programs Morti. This is especially true of the ones that come your way via spam mail. Free to run, surprise, surprise they nearly always find "issues" which you then have to pay for a copy of the program to 'resolve'.
Threatfire certainly does not come into that category, it is a good product supplied by a reputable company & fixes issues as well as finding them. You can pay for it ($29.95) & it will then give you free telephone support, automatic updates(although you can get this on the free version if you opt into their "community") & the right to use in a commercial environment.

In addition I use AGV anti virus (again free) which will also detect some types of spyware but is really about virus protection.

First question should be what program is telling you there is spyware? This is often a ploy to get you to buy removal tools rather than a real threat. Be sure you know the program and trust it that is giving you this alarm.
For anti-virus the best free system in annual tests is Avira and they are just about the best overall regardless of the money you spend. You do pay the price of a pop up window during updates with the free version but sure worth testing it out - even if you want to buy it later (with expanded features).

morti there are a few good free antivirus programs out there also spyware go to cnet.com and check out what they have for free and download them now keep in mind only download and use 1 antivirus program
if you have more than 1 remove them keep only the one you like best keep this also applies to spy ware
if you use ad_aware do not download spybot they do not get along

Vlad, have you had any success in removing your Trojans?

The link I gave you to download.com will allow you to choose from a large number of popular Anti-Virus and Anti Spyware programmes. Download.com say that anything you download from them is virus free, and they give reviews and information about the various software they offer. Many are free versions.

Do let us know how you get on.

For more options and recommendations there are several previous threads on this subject on this Forum, for example:-

If you want more reviews on which one to choose, here are some review results:-

I've been using Avast for a few months now and so far so good. Updates daily with just a little pop-up to tell you that it has updated. I use Limewire a bit and sometimes Avast reports that a file is infected with a Trojan and Avast kills it.

I use Firefox with Ad-blocker as an add-on.
