Good afternoon

I'm just wondering, if there are any Hotel schools or colleges in Udon Thani or if there is a need for hospitality related subjects to teach.

I'm a semi-retired Swiss Expat with extensive Hotel and Restaurant experiences but due to the struggling Thai Tourism, I would like to see, if there are any possibilities in Udon Thani to find something suitable, especially due to the fact, that Tourism in Laos is increasing and Udon still will be a city, where Tourists will have a stopover.

I'm one of those Expats which actually enjoys to live here and again, I really would like to help the Tourism Industry in this area. Maybe someone knows any institutions, schools, universities, resorts, hotels, etc, who likes to explore some possibilities with me.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

You might contact some of the High end hotels to see if they might be interested in your services!

Rajabhat University in Udon has a Tourism & Hotel Management course of study, and one of the instructors (from memory) recently married and is moving to Europe. That would create an opening....

Thanks BKKSTAN. I've already contacted a few Hotels and Resorts in the area. The better Hotels normally are very reluctant to hire foreign staff due to salary and visa issues. On the other hand, there are many qualified Thai hospitality professionals, which are preferred by the Thai owners and GM's. Thanks anyway for your input
