How much is a 30 Day Visa Extension?

PostAuthor: jamesandpookie » July 10, 2006, 7:00 pm

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how much the 30 day extension is on a 60 day visa?

If it's more than 1,300 baht then I may as well just cross the bridge and stock up on duty free.

Also what day and time is the visa office open in Udon Thani?

Thanks in advance. :D

I think you are looking at 1900 baht for the extension. Could be wrong, but think its right.
Immigration in Udon is open Mon and Friday only 9am to 3pm

Thanks Paul.

I think I paid 500 baht for an extension 3 years ago, looks like nearly a 200% increase. :(

I will go to the bridge instead, the 700 baht I save can buy me a bottle of Baileys and some cigarettes, plus it's nice to have a wander round the Nong Khai market.

Yes! the rates increased from 500 to 1900 some time ago. I think the cheapest thing on offer now is a re-entry permit which is the bargain price of 1000 baht (single entry).
There was talk recently of further increases however it has been fairly quiet of late. The huge increases are scandalous- Is it any wonder people decide to spend a day in Laos instead?
